This Privacy Policy explains what information RandBax collects through the mobile app, how we use it, when we share it, and what choices you have. It applies to riders, drivers, and anyone interacting with RandBax support, account, trip, messaging, and verification features.
By creating an account or continuing to use the app, you acknowledge that RandBax may process your information as described in this policy for service delivery, safety, support, fraud prevention, operations, and legal compliance.
1. Information We Collect
We collect account details you provide directly, such as your full name, phone number, email address, password credentials, account role, and profile photo where you upload one.
For riders, we collect trip-related information such as pickup and destination addresses, route selections, trip requests, saved places, trip history, notifications, support-related interactions, and in-app messages where available.
For drivers, we may collect KYC and operational information such as driver's license details, document images, selfie verification images, vehicle make, model, color, year, plate number, vehicle registration documents, vehicle insurance or vehicle update requests, and driver activity or availability states.
2. Location and Device Data
We collect location information when you grant permission. Rider location may be used to suggest pickup points, improve trip search, and support route-related features. Driver location may be collected while online, during trips, and in supported background modes to power live driver tracking, dispatch, and trip operations.
We may also process technical and device-linked information needed for app functionality, such as push notification tokens, basic app state needed to maintain sessions, feature preferences, and locally stored settings such as dark mode or onboarding state.
Some data may be stored on your device for performance and continuity, including auth session information, cached route details, saved preferences, and similar operational app storage.
3. How We Use Information
We use personal information to create and manage accounts, authenticate users, verify eligibility, process rider and driver workflows, match riders with drivers, support messaging and notifications, and manage active and completed trips.
We use information to review KYC submissions, protect users, detect fraud or abuse, investigate complaints, improve operational reliability, troubleshoot technical issues, and enforce our terms and internal safety rules.
We may also use information to personalize support, maintain saved places and notification feeds, process vehicle update requests, and improve product design, trip flow, and platform performance.
4. How We Share Information
We may share relevant trip information between riders and drivers when necessary for the trip, such as names, route information, live status updates, messaging context, and vehicle details shown in the booking flow.
We may share information with service providers and infrastructure partners that help us operate the app, such as hosting, notifications, mapping, communications, analytics, or verification support providers, subject to appropriate contractual or operational controls.
We may disclose information where required by law, legal process, regulatory inquiry, fraud investigation, safety response, or to protect the rights, safety, systems, users, or business interests of RandBax and others.
5. Data Retention and Security
We retain information for as long as reasonably necessary to provide the service, maintain records, resolve disputes, investigate incidents, enforce agreements, meet compliance obligations, and support legitimate business operations.
Verification records, trip records, messages, and operational logs may be retained longer where safety, audit, compliance, or fraud prevention needs require it.
We use reasonable administrative, technical, and organizational measures to protect personal information, but no mobile app, device, network, or online storage system can be guaranteed completely secure.
6. Your Choices and Rights
You may update some profile information in the app, such as your display name or profile photo, and you may contact support for assistance with other account issues. Certain fields or records may not be editable once required for identity, trip integrity, or compliance reasons.
You may control certain device permissions, such as location and notifications, through your operating system settings. Disabling some permissions may reduce app functionality or prevent some services from working correctly.
Subject to applicable law, you may request help regarding access, correction, deletion, or other privacy-related questions by contacting support. We may need to verify your identity before acting on certain requests.
7. Children's Privacy and Updates
RandBax is not intended for individuals who are not legally allowed to use the service under applicable law. We do not intend to knowingly permit prohibited users to maintain accounts.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time to reflect service changes, legal developments, safety practices, or operational needs. Continued use after an update may be treated as acceptance to the extent permitted by law.
